Augmented Sculpture

Rosewindow is an installation that changes its shape following Euclidean rules, shifts its colour through various gradient wheels, melts like mercury, and opens its core to surrealistic scenes.

It is an augmented handcrafted sculpture with a diameter of 2.5 metres, whose contents and effects are modulated by the users thanks to a proximity sensor.
Its design, as the name suggests, is inspired by a classic rose window of an ancient church, in line with Aira’s classical background, constantly permeating its creative processes.
It was specifically realized for Muzak Radio Fest, hosted at Teatro Lo Spazio in Rome.
